People pack up and move all the time, for myriad reasons.
In August 2012, I transplanted from Minnesota to Cairo, Egypt for two reasons:
1. “I went to the woods because I wanted to live deliberately, I wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life, To put to rout all that was not life and not when I had come to die Discover that I had not lived.” – Henry David Thoreau
It’s time to live deliberately and suck the marrow out of life. A change in scenery can help awaken life. In my case, I am going to the desert instead of the woods, hoping to awaken a dormant part of my self.
2. “I feel like there are pieces of me scattered throughout the world, just waiting for me to discover them.” – me
I wrote this a few years back when those “25 Things About Me” lists were all the rage on facebook. It hasn’t changed for me. I’m on a path of self-discovery.
Join me on my journey over the next two years as I live deliberately and see the world from a different point of view.
